Orlando Historic Landmarks
Atlantic Coastline Station, 1400 Sligh Boulevard. In the postcard image below, passengers wait to board an Atlantic Coast Line train at Orlando’s passenger depot on Sligh Boulevard, as seen in an undated postcard view. Built in 1926 at a cost of nearly $500,000, the Spanish Mission station opened in January 1927 with elaborate ceremonies. A crowd of about 6,000, about a fifth of the town's population then, jammed traffic for blocks around the building. The station now serves Amtrak and is an Orlando Historic Landmark.
